Greenville/Spartanburg Airport launched “Wingspan” yesterday – an online information center for the Terminal Improvement Project, which will take place over the next four years.
The changes will make GSP one of the most efficient airports in the country for its size. Including the implementation of solar water heaters and rain water harvesting systems. The project will be utilizing construction materials from local sources and will add hundreds of construction jobs for local citizens.
Changes include:
A third baggage carousel
Public meeting and conference spaces
Canopies will be installed in front of the terminal to provide covered walkways and loading areas for passengers
Additional dining options – Including a Dunkin’ Doughnuts, Greenleaf Restaurant and Chick-Fil-A
Consolidated TSA checkpoints
Airport district offices
One stop rental car customer center located in Garage A
To see the progress in “real time” (there will be updates on construction posted twice weekly) and for more information click the link to see the Wingspan website in action.
Here at Atchison Transportation we are looking forward to the upcoming changes and are proud to be the official ground transportation for Greenville Spartanburg Airport.
